Privacy policy
Effective 14 October 2026
We store your learning profile, notes and progress under your Clerk account identifier in a DigitalOcean PostgreSQL database. Clerk manages sign-in and account identity.
Google sign-in shares your name, email address and profile picture with Clerk. We use your name to prefill your learning profile. Your profession and work problem come from information you choose to enter.
When you ask the tutor, we send your question, current lesson inputs and recent tutor conversation to OpenAI through authenticated server requests. Your profession and work problem are included only when you enable professional context. Notebook summaries send the note text you select.
Avoid including confidential, personal, financial or employer-restricted information in work problems and notes. Export controls let you download your learning data. Sign out on shared devices.
Stripe handles payment details. This platform stores access status and payment account references, not full card details. Vercel serves the website. Service providers may process information outside your country.
Guest progress uses browser storage. Signed-in learning records are saved to your account. Operational logs may include request time, status and service errors. We do not intentionally log note text, work problems, credentials or tutor questions.
Research papers and credentials
Uploaded PDFs are processed into extracted text in your private account library. Original PDF bytes are not retained. When you ask a question, the extracted paper text and question are sent to the AI provider with response storage disabled. Extraction can lose formatting and equations. Delete a paper to remove its text and interpreter answers; notebook copies remain until you delete them. Assessment attempts, submitted circuits and results are retained to support issued credentials. Certificates are private until you enable public verification, which exposes the name, program, issue date, credential ID and validity status. You can disable sharing at any time.
Hardware experiments
Submitted circuits are sent to AWS Braket using the platform account. Provider task IDs, device details, shots, timestamps and measured results are saved with your experiment. Do not include confidential business data in experimental circuits or prompts without authorization.
